Tool Bar Clash

Tool Bar Clash is a 2D fighting based

Objective

For my branding class, we were given an assignment to showcase our skills by providing a product of sorts for our brand/company that we spent creating during the semester. For me, I wanted to showcase my skills in character design and storytelling. What is best if not to create a concept for a fighting video based on the tools in an art program!!

Design Process

Since part of my brand was to showcase my skills, I created several character designs for this video game concept. I sketched and rendered each piece within Clip Studio Paint. Any mockups were later done in Photoshop.

This is a recreation of a “National Geographic”.
Displaying near 1:1 designs and editorial styles in 34 pages.

Objective

My task for this project was to take any pre-existing magazine of our choice and make our own based on those design choices of said magazine. For my project, I decided to choose National Geographic for my inspiration.

Design Process

Before touching upon any of the design work for this project, I had to do extensive research on National Geographic, including what fonts they use and the layout measurements that they format for their magazine. Using those elements from the original magazine, I was able to recreate my own version of the National Geographic magazine.

Elysian Prologue

An animated prologue for an
upcoming comic series called Elysian.

Objective

The task for this project was to create a product that
showcases our skills as well as what we would provide as graphic designers.
For this, I created a 2-minute long short; a prologue for an upcoming comic series called Elysian.

Design Process

Part of the process was learning how one would work within the industry. I started with brainstorming, sharing ideas and bouncing them back and forth with my peers. I then proceeded with creating my pitch and creative brief for the project as if I were showcasing these to an actual company. Once those were complete, I was off to create the concepts for my animated prologue; creating sketches for background and characters designs, writing a script, creating the storyboard, and getting feedback on all of it. Then the final step came, making the animation.

Little Big Planet Intro

An animated title sequence for Sony's PS game: Little Big Planet

Objective

The task for this assignment was to create a title sequence of any audio of our choice. For me, I decided I wanted to create what is essentially a love letter to one of my all-time favourite games: LittleBigPlanet

Design Process

My first step to this project was to select a soundtrack to animate over; I went with Left Bank Two, the first song the game plays in the beginning level. LittleBigPlanet is a game full of creativity and I wanted to showcase that within my title sequence. The storyboard, roughs and entire animation was created in Clip Studio Paint
